Fire doors are particularly important as the first level of home fire protection, but when you buy inferior fire doors, the fire doors are no longer fireproof, what should you do? The fire department of our city has investigated and destroyed a batch of inferior fire doors with honeycomb paper instead of fire-resistant filling materials. According to the regulations, steel and wooden fire doors can be divided into three categories according to their fire resistance limits: Grade A, Grade B and Grade C. The fire resistance limits are 90 minutes, 60 minutes and 30 minutes respectively, and the wood used to make wooden fire doors needs to be Drying and flame retardant treatment, the hardware accessories used must also be fireproof hardware accessories.
There are five ways to buy high-quality fire doors:
The first measure is to check the appearance. The high-quality steel/fireproof door is firmly welded and the solder joints are evenly distributed; the outer surface is sprayed flat and smooth; there should be product marks, quality inspection qualification marks and quality certification (approval) qualification marks at the specified positions. The appearance of qualified wooden fire doors should be complete, no damage, clean surface, no planing marks, burrs and hammer marks; cut corners and joints should be strict and smooth.
The second trick is to compare the numbers. The external dimensions of qualified products should be less than or equal to the external dimensions in the sample description, the thickness of the door leaf should be greater than or equal to the thickness of the door leaf in the sample description, and the width of the door frame side wall should be greater than or equal to the width of the door frame side wall in the sample description. The outer dimensions of the fireproof glass should be less than or equal to the outer dimensions of the fireproof glass in the sample description, and the thickness of the fireproof glass should be greater than or equal to the thickness of the fireproof glass in the sample description.
The third measure is to look at the seals. Qualified steel and wooden fire doors should be equipped with fireproof seals. The seals should be straight, without arches, and have a qualified inspection report issued by a national testing agency.
The fourth measure is to estimate the weight. Fire doors with qualified quality are generally heavier, and those very light fire doors are definitely inferior products.
The fifth trick is to check the certificate. The fire door is a product that is included in the type approval system. The product needs to undergo type inspection before it is sold. Generally, the type inspection report describes in detail the size, composition, material and product photos of the sample. In the actual purchase, it is necessary to ask the manufacturer for a type inspection report.
