Fire doors are divided by material: steel fire doors and wooden fire doors have some differences in installation methods. It is also slightly different from the fire rating. You must pay attention to the details when installing.

First of all, when installing the wooden fire door, the size of the door frame should be less than 20mm of the opening, the lower foot of the door frame should be buried 20mm below the ground, the door frame should be firmly fixed with the wall, and the vertical angle should be passed. The erection and support should pay strict attention to the straightness and the same angle, and avoid planing and sawing. There should be no less than 3 fixed points on both sides of the door frame, and the spacing should preferably not be greater than 800mm.

Secondly, during the installation process of the steel fire door, considering the bending deformation of the door frame, it should be supported by wooden slats in the width direction of the door frame, the lower foot of the door frame should be buried 20mm below the ground, and then the door frame and the embedded parts on the wall welding. Then make a hole in the wall in the upper corner of the door frame, pour concrete of cement, sand, and expanded perlite (1:2:5), and it can be used after the concrete is solidified.

Fire doors have airtight requirements:

The national standard has clear requirements on the size of the gaps at the lap joints of fire doors: for steel fire doors, the overlap between the fan and the door frame is required to be no less than 10mm, and the gap between the fan and the door frame on both sides should not be greater than 4mm. After the fire door is installed and closed, the gap should not be too large, otherwise the airtight performance of the fire door will be difficult to guarantee, and it will be difficult to reflect its function of suppressing the spread of fire and smoke under fire conditions.

Therefore, the width of the gap in the installation of fire doors must be strictly controlled. Installation according to these standards can ensure the effective function of fire doors to a certain extent.
